Overview
This Refund and Returns Policy applies to entries purchased into skill-based prize competitions on this Website. As competition entries are not physical goods, this policy should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions, which take precedence in the event of any conflict.
Entry fees
Once a competition entry has been successfully submitted and paid for, it is non-refundable, except in the specific circumstances set out below. This includes entries that turn out to be ineligible, disqualified, or duplicated, in line with our Terms & Conditions.
Minimum ticket threshold not reached
Each competition states a minimum number of tickets that must be sold before the closing date for the draw to go ahead. If a competition has not reached its minimum ticket sales as the closing date approaches, we will do one of the following:
Extend the closing date. This is our default approach where ticket sales are reasonably close to the minimum threshold (broadly, 70% or more of the minimum sold). We will update the competition page with the new closing date as soon as the decision is made.
Cancel the competition and issue a full refund. Where it is clear the minimum will not be reached, we will cancel the competition rather than extend it indefinitely. All entrants for that competition will receive a full refund of their entry fee to the original payment method, normally within 14 days of the cancellation being confirmed.
We aim to make this decision no later than the published closing date, so entrants are not left waiting unnecessarily.
Cancelled or voided competitions
If we cancel, void, or suspend a competition for reasons other than an unreached minimum (for example, the prize becoming unavailable through no fault of our own), entrants for that competition will also receive a full refund of their entry fee, unless a suitable alternative prize or replacement competition is offered and accepted instead.
Errors on our part
If a technical error on the Website results in an incorrect charge, a duplicate charge, or an entry that was not properly processed, please contact us and we will investigate and refund any amount incorrectly taken.
How refunds are issued
Where a refund is due under this policy, it will be issued to the payment method originally used to purchase the entry. Please allow up to 14 days for the refund to appear, depending on your bank or card provider.
Free postal entries
As postal entries do not involve a payment, this refund policy does not apply to them. Postal entries are administered in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.
